We are engaged in a number of outreach activities both in the Pittsburgh area and online:
We are producing YouTube videos aimed at providing role models for female and URM students in STEM disciplines. Video topics include both advice for students, and fun chemistry demonstrations.
Outreach in the Community
Our students engage in outreach events sponsored by our grad student organization, Phi Lambda Upsilon, and other organizations in the Pittsburgh area. In the past, we have also worked with Pitt's Mobile Lab program and members of Phi Lambda Upsilon to deliver materials chemistry-themed activities and demonstrations at Pittsburgh-area schools and community events.
